At Huntington Gate Chateau, we strive to fulfill our commitment to “care with beauty and compassion.”From the aesthetic surroundings to nutritious meals and our loving and attentive caregivers, we do our best to incorporate beauty that speaks to the soul in all aspects of our care at Huntington Gate Chateau.

We care for seniors at any stage of illness, from the day of diagnosis to active treatment and end of life. We are licensed to care for residents who require hospice care, providing a comforting environment for residents with declining health.

Our Founders

Huntington Gate Chateau is the dream of President/Owner Philip J. Butzen and his spouse and Business Partner, Joan K. Butzen. Philip, with degrees in Economics and Real Estate Law, and Joan, with her Master’s in Social Work, envisioned a community where seniors can live comfortably in beauty, safety, and loving care, using their educational training and life experiences to achieve this worthy goal.

Their dream came true in October 2018, when Huntington Gate Chateau, on an acre site in a gated community, was purchased, remodeled with full handicapped accessibility, licensed as an RCFE by the State of California, and opened to assist frail elderly residents, specializing in hospice care.

And their commitment to care with beauty and compassion, delicious food, and 24 hour attention from their exceptional staff continues.

Our Vision

The staff and owners of Huntington Gate Chateau shall strive every day to fulfill the commitments contained in our motto: “Care with Beauty and Compassion.”

These words and all that they suggest shall be our North Star guiding our efforts with the meals we cook, the landscaping we maintain, the laundry we wash, the baths we give, the medications we administer, the appointments we arrange, the supplies we purchase, the utilities we supply, the songs we sing, and the games we play.

Our Team

Our trained and dedicated staff provide each resident with a personalized care plan and deliver services with compassion, understanding, and respect. Each resident can feel secure knowing that a dedicated healthcare team is nearby 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
